Assistant Technician (Tier 1)

Job Description

We're looking for a Technician Assistant to join our IT support team. In this role, you'll collaborate with seasoned technicians to diagnose and resolve IT issues for our clients. Your contributions will be key in setting up and maintaining computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping, client communication, and teamwork with our IT experts. Personal Attributes

• Technical Support: Provide assistance to our technicians in diagnosing and resolving IT issues,
including troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.

• Client Communication: Engage professionally with clients, offering updates on service progress,
gathering details on technical issues, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the process.

• Equipment Setup: Support the installation, configuration, and deployment of computer systems,
servers, and networking equipment, ensuring all systems are properly set up and operational.

• Documentation: Accurately maintain records of equipment inventory, repairs, and service
requests. Assist in creating documentation for standard operating procedures.

• Team Collaboration: Partner with our IT team to enhance your technical skills through hands-on
learning. Participate in projects, share insights, and contribute to the overall success of the team.

• Continuous Learning: Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, and actively
pursue opportunities for training and certifications.

• Part Runner: Work closely with our technicians and clients to ensure timely delivery and
retrieval of parts, maintaining smooth on-site operations and supporting production efficiency
throughout the day.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical coursework is a plus.

• Strong interest in information technology and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Eagerness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Benefits

Hourly: $15 - $20
• Part time starting with a potential to be full time as skillset develops.
